Stagecoaches, Hogskins & the Rodeo

What a busy day we had on Saturday. We started out going to Chidester to the Stagecoach Festival to listen to Brandon's used to be boss speak at a political speaking they had there. They had ponies there to ride and of course Austin had to ride on one. He loved every second of it and would have rode more, but for $5 per ride, once is all he got!

After that we came home for a bit and then left out to Hampton for Hogskin Holidays and the rodeo. We stopped at the festival and let Austin ride some of the carnival rides and we looked around.

He only rode these ladybugs about 5 times. They were a big hit.

We only took one ride on the jeeps. The guy running this ride was extremely rude and hateful to some of the kiddos. Good thing he wasn't rude to mine, but we were standing right next to the fence and he knew it.

And down he comes!

Going to the rodeo was his favorite part of the day. That's all he talked about all day long. He kept asking if we were going to the rodeo. He absolutely loved it. Of course we had to stop and look at all the steers and calves in the pens. When the horses would come out of the chute he'd start hollering "Yee-haw. Ride 'em cowboy"! He was an absolute hoot.

Riding in the arena with Anna.

Showing off his new rope! Mamaw gave him "rodeo money" so this is what he spent it on!
