The Water Boy

This has been a busy, but fun weekend. We started out Friday evening meeting Brandon in Fordyce after work and then back to Camden for supper at Mazzio's and playing at the park. Austin really enjoys swinging and playing on the slide. After bribing him with candy to get in that carseat and to go home our day was finally done.

So the pictures below are all from Saturday. After I got the yard work done I decided to get out the new swimming pool that Austin got for his birthday and put a little water in it. As you can tell he loves it. I can already see that this is where a lot of play time will be spent in the next few months. We also have a sprinkler that I'll hook up as the weather continues to warm. He is definately going to be our little "Water Boy".

On Sunday while Daddy went fishing and caught some bream, crappie and catfish (which we'll have for supper one night this week) me and Austin spent the morning re-cleaning the floors in the house and doing laundry and in the afternoon he went to play with Ayla, Scooter and Mikey. It's nice when they can all get together and even though he is so much younger than the rest of them he thinks he's just as big!!

 

 

Thanks to the rain...

We had to hunt eggs in the house at Aunt Stephanie's. It didn't seem to matter to the kiddos as long as they got to hunt them. Every egg that Austin picked up he had to open and get the candy out of it. There was no waiting til he found all of his eggs. He just wanted that candy!!!

 

 

 

 

The Easter Bunny Has Arrived...

Austin was so excited to wake up and find that the Easter Bunny had been to his house, left a basket full of candy and in Austin's words "went bye-bye"! What kid isn't excited to wake to a basket full of candy. If only that could happen everyday and thank goodness that it doesn't because my child has had his fair share of sugar the last couple of days! Mama and Daddy can't take anymore.

 

Dyeing Easter Eggs

I ended up dyeing the eggs while Austin took his nap. I decided that my kitchen would be safer that way. He did help put stickers on them when they dried so did get to help a little. Sorry Austin. He's had a little too much candy this weekend so as you can tell from the bottom photo he's wearing a paper sack on his head!!

 

What a Mess!

So as I'm vacuuming this morning I notice Austin has gotten really quiet for a bit. I turned off the vacuum to go look for him and hear a drawer slam and little feet just a running through the house. When he got to me this is what I saw...



It looks as if he was trying to draw himself some whiskers like a cat. He had got my eyeliner and was having a big time!

Austin's 2nd Birthday - Part 2!!

We had Austin's 2nd Birthday Party on Saturday and it was a lot of fun. We did a Cowboy theme this year and everyone seemed to have a great time.

This is the gift from Mama & Daddy. It was wrapped up in the living room and I went to the bathroom, but when I came back this is what I found.

Austin's 2nd Birthday - Part 1

This is Austin's gift from Karla & Keebey. His 1st tricycle and he really likes it. His legs are still a little short to reach the pedals, but it won't be long and he'll be gettin' after it. Also notice the hat to match. It says "My 1st ATV".

 

Flowers for My Mama!!

So again we've spent all weekend outside and Jacob and Lexie were down visiting. Austin had a ball. Of course Brandon had Jacob helping us clean the yard up (and Lexie helped too). We're trying to get the "winter time yard" cleaned up for Austin's birthday party. What a job it was. It was such a mess, but we got it all done. Lexie was a huge help with Austin because she helped watch him while I did my clean up. So below are some pictures of my first bouquet of flowers from Austin. He and Lexie picked them all and he brought them to me and said "flowers Mama". So of course I put them in a cup of water and put them in the kitchen window. How sweet is my little boy?

It's Spring Time...At Least For A Few Days

We spent all weekend outside painting our kitchen cabinet doors and building an island for the kitchen, painting molding, etc. The weather was beautiful and Austin was just proud to be out. We'll be so glad when the warm weather arrives just so he can go out more. So here are a few random pics from the weekend.
